With music by Stephen Sondheim, book by Larry Gelbert and Burt Shevelove, this light-hearted, bawdy musical comedy will keep you laughing. A live orchestra, colorful costuming, and beautiful set add to the fun.

Still Time to Participate in ‘Sprint and Splash’ Event
June 9th at Lake St. Clair Metropark
If you are looking for a unique and cool way to kick off the warm-weather season, consider participating in Macomb County’s Sprint and Splash event. This first-ever event is coming to the Lake St. Clair Metropark in Harrison Township on Saturday, June 9, 2012.
The purpose of Sprint and Splash is to promote and celebrate Lake St. Clair, kicking off a weekend of events that will “Celebrate the Lake,” including the Department of Natural Resources Free Fishing Weekend, National Marina Day, and River Day.
There are three options for participation in this event:
5K Fun Run/Walk
Duathlon: 5K Run and 5K Kayak
Sanctioned Stand-Up Paddle Boarding Competition
Everyone who participates in this event will be supporting organizations that are working to improve the regional economy by increasing tourism to Lake St. Clair and its coastal communities while also striving to protect and restore Lake St. Clair, the Clinton River and the surrounding natural areas.
The primary benefactor will be the Lake St. Clair Tourism Initiative, a non-profit association that has a goal of educating and connecting new and existing visitors about the many experiences offered by Lake St. Clair and the surrounding businesses and communities. For more information on the Lake St. Clair Tourism Initiative, visit www.TourLakeStClair.org.
Two other non-profit organizations will also benefit from this event – The Clinton River Watershed Council and Six Rivers Regional Land Conservancy. Both organizations focus on conserving, sustaining, and protecting the region’s natural resources. Presenting Sponsor for the event is Henry Ford Health Systems.
Sprint and Splash begins at 8 a.m. on Saturday, June 9 at Lake St. Clair Metropark. Participants of all ages and athletic abilities are encouraged to participate, especially families. Discounts at registration are offered for all police, fire and active and reserved military personnel. The deadline for race registration is June 6th for the Duathlon event, and participants in the Fun Run can register on the day of the race.
