Put on those ruby red slippers and head down the Yellow Brick Road to enjoy a magical evening as the Players Guild of Dearborn presents the timeless classic, “The Wizard of Oz,” now playing through Dec. 4.
Travel through Oz with all your favorite characters as they venture to the Emerald City to see the Wizard, plus battle Flying Monkeys and the Wicked Witch of the West.
Showtimes are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. Sundays.

Royal Oak Chili Cookoff

The Royal Oak Jaycees will hold the second annual Royal Oak Chili Cook-Off at the Royal Oak Farmers Market from 5-9 p.m. Saturday, November 19. Restaurants, businesses and community organizations will face off to determine who has the best chili in town and to earn one of several titles, including Best of the Best, Hottest and Most Creative. The event also will include live music, local beer, games, kids activities and a silent auction.
Admission costs $5 in advance or $8 at the door and includes chili tasting tickets.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Boys & Girls Club of South Oakland County, the Royal Oak Animal Shelter and the Royal Oak Jaycees.
