Cancer And Diet Go Hand in Hand

fruits-and-vegetablesCancer is largely attributable to the cumulative impact of toxins on our systems. External factors such as polluted air, water and food chemicals, along with pesticides on our food, play a major role. Heavy metals like mercury that is in many immunizations and flu shots plus immunological weakness come into play as well as PSYCHOLOGICAL factors, also affect the occurrences of cancer.

Diet and Its Role in Cancer

Eating an organic, whole-foods diet and drinking plenty of clean water are integral in preventing and treating cancer. Eating Alkaline Foods balances the pH of the blood, which in turn inhibits the building of cancer cells. Alkaline foods keep the blood pH in its ideal range of between 7.2 and 7.4 which is also important for the prevention and treatment of cancer.

80% of our diet should consist of alkaline-forming foods like raw fruits and vegetables and nuts, seeds, whole grains and legumes. Among recommended alkaline-forming fruits are: apples, kiwis, lemons, limes, mangoes, melons, pineapple, raisins, raspberries, nectarines, peaches, pears, strawberries, blueberries, bananas, dates, figs, grapefruit, oranges and avocado. Even though lemons and limes are sour, they are actually alkaline-promoting and a good thing to eat first thing in the morning as well as melon. Wait 20-30 minutes before eating other foods after that.

Recommended vegetables are: artichokes, asparagus, broccoli, cauliflower, cucumbers, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, carrots, kale, eggplant, spinach, green beans, squash, mustard greens, endive, watercress, yams, tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, parsley, okra, kelp, seaweeds and ginger.

In addition, whole grains, seeds and nuts from which are alkaline promoting are: green beans, lima beans, peas, soybean products that are non-GMO and grains like rice, quinoa, amaranth, barley and oats. Nuts like coconuts, chestnuts and almonds and seeds like alfalfa, chia, radish and sesame are excellent, especially sprouted.

Cruciferous Vegetables are detoxifying and believed to remove cancer causing substances from the body, such as: mustard greens, collards, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, kale and Brussels sprouts.

30 grams of fiber a day significantly reduces the risk of colorectal cancer.

The use of healthy fats such as olive oil, flaxseed oil, primrose, borage and black currant oil, as well as organic coconut oil have gamma-linolenic acid which is an Omega-6 fatty acid and is an important cancer prevenative.

Green Tea, vegetable juices that are homemade from your own juicing machine and other herbal teas are also an important part of the healthy diet.

Mushrooms have extraordinary healing properties. The Maitake Mushroom kills cancer cells by enhancing the activity of T-helper cells. Scientific studies report this food’s effectiveness in controlling cancers of the breast, lung and prostate, and minimizes the effects of chemotherapy. Shitake and Reishi Mushrooms called ganoderma mushrooms, exhibit anti-cancer properties as well and are used by Asians to enhance longevity, and tumor elimination.

Antioxidant supplements for cancer are:

Vitamin C: the prime nutrient when it comes to overall support of the immune system. But when fighting cancer, very large quantities are required both orally and INTRAVENOUSLY. Orally, you know you have reached the dose your body needs based on the amount of it that causes you get have diarrhea, then drop back to a little less than that before that point. Intravenous Vitamin C drips supply the greatest healing because more of it can be tolerated. Patients are often given between 50 and 100 g of intravenous Vitamin C, which relieves pain and nausea, often making painkilling drugs unnecessary.

Alpha Lipoic Acid: A powerful antioxidant that scavenges the hydroxyl radical as well as other free radicals. It boosts glutathione which combats the damaging cytokines and regenerates Vitamin C and E and CoEnzyme Q10. The recommended dose is 250-500 mg. Daily. Maximum amount is 500 mg. 3x daily.

EFA’s — Omega 3’s and 6’s block important causes of cancer. Omega 3 rich fish oil or even Krill Oil (some are calling an even better potent form of Omega 3) suppress dangerous cytokines and stress-induced pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-6 and IL-10. It also reduces the risk of colon cancer. Cancer patients can take up to 8-12 caps per day combined with 4 Mega EPA softgels from Life Extension Company.

Vitamin A: Reduces infections and tumors and is noteworthy to clear the lungs of smoke and other pollutants. Emulsified Vitamin A comes from fish oil and is easy to digest. It also comes from non-animal sources such as lemongrass, wheatgrass and carrots. 4,000 to 7,000 I.U. of Vitamin A from supplemental food sources are recommended daily, and less if beta-carotene is taken.

PLEASE NOTE THAT NO SUGAR SHOULD BE EATEN OF ANY KIND IF YOU HAVE CANCER. CANCER CELLS FEED OFF OF SUGAR AND IF THERE IS NONE FOR IT TO FEED FROM, THE CANCER CELLS STARVE. ALSO YOU MUST AVOID ALL PESTICIDES FROM FOODS AND GRASSES.

ASTRAGALUS, A POTENT HERB FOR AN ANTIOXIDANT AND IMMUNE SUPPORT CAN BE TAKEN ON A DAILY BASIS TO GIVE YOU LIFE ENERGY AND INCREASES WHITE BLOOD CELL AND PHAGOCYTIC ACTIVITY.

There are many other supplements I recommend that are too numerous to mention in this article, but if you have any questions on this or any more, please contact me by phone.
