This Saturday, October 22, will be a big day at the corner of Walnut Lake Road and Inkster Road in West Bloomfield. Specifically, Market Square, which sits on the Southwest corner of that location is participating in Make A Difference Day, www.makeadifferenceday.com, our nation’s greatest day of caring. This day is meant to bring attention, awareness and participation in caring about your community.
Market Square www.marketsquare.com has stepped up to the plate and is offering fun for all our children and kindness and awareness for animals in a small community not too far away from West Bloomfield. Leave it to the owners of Market Square to do a great job for more than one cause at a time!
First of all, there will be pumpkin painting, apple cider and a one-year-old goat for the kids to pet and feed out front, among some other surprises.
The owners of Market Square love their customers, their community, and want to show appreciation by giving the children a fun time. They also love animals and in addition to donations of vast amounts of produce to Sasha Farm in Manchester (the animal haven) they want to bring awareness to all their customers to help this special haven. Brownie, the goat that Market Square sponsors at Sasha Farm, (who was named by one of the Market Square family members when he was just a few weeks old) will be there for the day for everyone to meet and enjoy.
Brownie’s face will be seen from time to time on a laminated card placed in front of produce and/or certain select prepared foods to show that if you purchase those items some of the proceeds will go directly to Sasha Farm (www.sashafarm.org ) The name of the campaign is “Brownie’s Choice.”
I, as a customer of Market Square, and also an animal advocate, could not be more appreciative to the Market Square family and all the fabulous people in our community. Come out Saturday, for the kids and the animals!! Come out on Make a Difference Day!
