Cross of Christ Lutheran Church is hosting the 48th Annual Bloomfield Antique Show today. Come see over 30 exhibitors from all over the mid-west display a large selection of merchandise for the casual and serious collectors.
From 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. today you can also try the Taste of Excellence which features 5 different restaurants (Mezza Mediterranean Grill, El Nibble Nook, Fishbones, Panera Bread, and Breadsmith) most popular dishes. Â Note: Taste of Excellence requires an additional $7 charge.
Proceeds from the show go to local charities.

Michigan’s Harvest: Food, Farming & Community, the Lorenzo Center’s Latest Exhibit

The Lorenzo Cultural Center’s latest exhibit, Michigan’s Harvest: Food, Farming & Community, opens Sept. 24 and runs through Nov. 20. Visitors will learn about Michigan’s agricultural heritage and traditions through exhibits, speakers and activities. The program asks, “How does culture impact what we eat? And, how does what we eat impact culture?”
Exhibit hours are Wednesday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and Sundays from 1-4 p.m.
Luncheon with Author Kris Carr

Kris Carr, Author of “Crazy Sexy Cancer” and “The Crazy Sexy Diet”, will be at the Royal Park Hotel for a luncheon. You will hear Carr’s inspirational story of how she beat Stage IV Liver Cancer.Â She will share her experience and how it changed her outlook of her health and life through diet, exercise, and mindful meditation.
There is a yoga class for 100 people at 9:30am before the luncheon takes place. You can register for either the luncheon or yoga/luncheon.

Beaumont Hospital will host it’sÂ 13th Annual Breast Cancer Symposium at the Village Club in Bloomfield Hills today. The topic isÂ ”Self Care – An Exploration of Health, Healing and Happiness.”
Guest speakers will beÂ Dr. Bruce Hillenberg, Dr. Marjie Scott and the reverend Rik Cryderman. Â There will also be breakout sessions led byÂ Gail Evo, director, Beaumont Integrative Medicine.
