Pets don’t sign up to suffer abuse, neglect, or abandonment.
But you can sign up to help these precious animal lives.
Sign up now to walk in the 23rd annual Mutt March, on Sunday, June 5, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the beautiful Edsel & Eleanor Ford House in Grosse Pointe Shores.
The funds you raise for this fun and family-friendly event will help the hundreds of animals in our care right now who need loving homes.
Sign up now to help pets like Hippity and Hoppity, who were treated like trash.
Thin and shivering, the abandoned — or more accurately, dumped — puppies sat at the bottom of a trash can, hoping that someone, anyone, would hear their cries.
The MHS Rescue team rushed to the scene and pulled the two puppies from the trash can. Within minutes, the two were on the way to the MHS Detroit Center for Animal Care. Our veterinary team examined the shepherd-mix siblings and were relieved to find they had not sustained any serious injuries from their ordeal.
Because of supporters like you, the puppies received nourishing food, fresh water and plenty of TLC.
Within a week, these two had gone from the bottom of a dirty trash can to their new forever homes with loving families.
Stories like these are possible because of the life-saving support from people like you — who understand that every donation makes a difference in the life of an animal in need.
This June, you can be the one to help make a difference.
