“This is an unofficial holiday for baseball fans in Detroit,” said Jimmy Powers, Program Director for 97.1 The Ticket. “It’s something we all look forward to because it means warmer weather is fast approaching. The Block Party is our way of creating a fun atmosphere for everyone to come downtown to kickoff the baseball season.”

In addition, other members of the CBS RADIO Detroit family will be broadcast from the Block Party. 104.3 WOMC’s Jim Johnson will playing Detroit’s Greatest Hits from 10-3 p.m. and 99.5 WYCD’s Chuck Edwards and Linda Lee will be entertaining country music fans from 3-7 p.m.  98.7 AMP Radio will be playing all Detroit’s hit music throughout the day.
