8 p.m. – The Awards are starting soon! I’ve been watching most of the red carpet and I already saw some fabulous looks! Soon I’ll bring you some of my favorite AND least favorite fashion looks of the red carpet. Sneak peak: I think some of my favorite dresses of the night so far were worn by Mila Kunis and Scarlett Johansson.

Jennifer Hudson looks fabulous! I’ve seen a lot of red on the red carpet this year…

Natalie Portman looks adorable – I love the purple dress. Now they’re talking to James Franco. I’m getting really excited for James Franco and Anne Hathaway to host and I really hope they do well.

Apparently Colin Firth is a shoe-in for Best Actor…do you agree? I haven’t seen “The King’s Speech” yet, but it seems most people think he will definitely win. They are also predicting “The Social Network” or “The King’s Speech” will win. I thought the “Social Network” was great – definitely entertaining!

8:30 p.m. - It’s starting! As Tom Hanks just said, “It’s the magic night of nights” for these people and a great escape for us! Very cool intro. showcasing all the great movies. So far James Franco and Anne Hathaway are killing it! Traveling through the dreams of Alec Baldwin to steal his hosting techniques, “Inception” style.

“Alec likes me to narrate his dreams. He says I have a soothing voice.” I love me some Morgan Freeman! James Franco in a ballet costume…hilarious! “Back To the Future” reference was pretty cool too! I thought the host video to start off was really funny. What did you think?

“What do you get if you win? Don’t you get money or something too?” – James Franco. I thought it was pretty cute when Franco’s grandma stood up and said “I just saw Marky Mark!”.

8:45 p.m. - Tom Hanks is presenting the first two awards. I thought it was interesting that “Gone With the Wind” was the first movie to win the Academy Awards! Didn’t know that! The first award for Achievement in Art Direction went to “Alice in Wonderland”! The second award for Achievement in Cinematography went to “Inception”! I was really excited about this one because I think “Inception” was one of the best movies this year – fantastic effects as well as storyline.

Kirk Douglas came out to present an award which was a nice surprise! “I don’t know why but everyone in Australia thinks I’m funny!” He gave the award for Best Supporting Actress to Melissa Leo in “The Fighter”! I love her dress with all the tiny mirrors – very unique and beautiful.

9 p.m. – Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake present the next award. I absolutely love her dress! They presented the award for Best Animated Short Film which went to “The Lost Thing”. They also presented the award for Best Animated Featured Film and it went to “Toy Story 3″! I knew it would win – what a cute movie and a deserving win!

9:15 p.m. – Josh Brolin and Javier Bardem came out to present the next award looking quite dapper in their matching suits! Bardem’s accent is to die for! They presented the award for Best Adapted Screenplay and “The Social Network” won! The “get off the stage” music is starting…thank goodness! For me, the worst part of award shows are listening to people thank everyone they know. Necessary, but honestly boring.

Next they presented the award for Best Original Screenplay and “The King’s Speech” won! I was a bit disappointed that “Inception” didn’t win, but I guess I can’t say much considering I haven’t seen “The King’s Speech”.

9:30 p.m. – Hmm, who is Anne Hathaway singing about? Guess it is Hugh Jackman! She’s a pretty good singer but I can’t say that was a great bit. Okay, James Franco saved it by coming out in a dress! Interesting combo. of presenters Russell Brand and Helen Mirren! They presented the award for Best Foreign Language Film and it went to “In a Better World” from Denmark!

Next the beautiful Reese Witherspoon came to present the award for Best Supporting Actor and it went to Christian Bale in “The Fighter”.

9:45 p.m. – I love Anne Hathaway’s dress right now! Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman are coming out to present the next award. I loved the orchestra playing classic movie music! It really is crazy to think about how far technology has come from when they first started silent movies. Anyways, the award for Best Original Score went to the one from “The Social Network”.

Scarlett Johannson and Matthew McConaughey presented the award for Best Sound Mixing and it went to “Inception” and the award for Achievements in Sound Editing went to “Inception” also!

10:00 p.m. – Marisa Tomei came out to present some technical awards to scientists who bring you the great technologies in movies! Cate Blanchett came out next to present an award for Achievement in Makeup. The award went to “The Wolfman”. Seems like a deserving win – looks pretty gross! She also presented for Achievements in Costume Design and it went to “Alice in Wonderland” – also a deserving win!

Where are the performances? It has been 2 hours! I’m dying to see Florence + The Machines, Gwyneth Paltrow, Mandy Moore, and Celine Dion, among others!

Kevin Spacey is out now, singing, and telling me I don’t have to wait any longer! The performances have finally begun with “We Belong Together” by Andy Newman from “Toy Story 3″. His songs are just adorable and this makes me want to finish “Toy Story 3″! I watched about 80% of it while babysitting about a year ago when suddenly the little girl starts screaming “Turn it off now! I wanna go to sleep! Turn it off!”…so that was that!

Next is Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi singing a song from “Tangled”. I LOVE her dress! They did pretty well, but I am kind of disappointed these performances are so short!

Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhal presented the next award for Best Documentary Short and “Strangers No More” won. They also presented the award for Live Action Short film and “God of Love” won. “I should have gotten a haircut!” Love it.

The movie musical bit was pretty funny especially the “Twilight” one! Next Oprah Winfrey came on and I’m not really sure why she’s on here… Anyways, she presented an award for Best Documentary and “Inside Job” won!

10:30 p.m. – Billy Crystal came out to present a montage on Bob Hope, who hosted the Oscars 18 times! He came out as a hologram to present Robert Downey, Jr. and Jude Law, two very handsome men, to present the award for Achievement in Visual Effect and “Inception” won! They also presented the award for Achievement in Film Editing which went to “The Social Network”!

Jennifer Hudson came out to present Florence Welch and A.R. Rahman performing “As I Rise” From “127 Hours”. Beautiful performance. Next came a performance I was really excited to see Gwyneth Paltrow singing “Comin’ Home” from the great movie “Country Strong”! She looked really nervous but she did a great job singing. I wish she would have moved around a bit more, but it was probably nerves.

Finally, Jennifer Hudson announced who won for Original Song from the performances. The winner was “We Belong Together” by Randy Newman from “Toy Story 3″! Finally an entertaining acceptance speech! Thank you Randy Newman!

11:00 p.m. – The end is near. Next is a performance by Celine Dion! I am excited. I remember sitting on my bedroom floor when I was in Elementary School listening to Celine on cassette tape. I love her. Anyways, she sang a beautiful song as they showed a montage of all the wonderful people we lost from the movie world this past year. Halle Berry came out to talk about the late Lena Horne.

Hilary Swank came out to present Kathryn Bigelow, the first woman to win Best Director. Girl power! She presented the award for this year’s Best Director and it went to Tom Hooper for “The King’s Speech”. Aw, cute shout-out to his mom!

Annette Bening came out next to present The Governor’s Awards winners. (It’s getting late and I definitely did not catch their names!) Okay so finally, the awards we were all waiting for! Jeff Bridges came out next to present the award for Best Actress. The winner for Best Actress was Natalie Portman for “Black Swan”! She is so sweet and I really hope that Oscar curse won’t get to her…

Anne Hathaway just dealt with her first flub with grace! Good for her. Sandra Bullock is now out to present the award for Best Actor. The winner for Best Actor was Colin Firth for “The King’s Speech”. It appears the predictions were right!

11:30 p.m. – Steven Spielberg presented the award we’ve all been waiting for!

The winner for Best Movie of 2011 was “The King’s Speech”!

Man, I wish it would have gone to a movie I’ve seen, but hey, congrats to everyone who worked on “The King’s Speech”! Finally, there was an adorable performance by PS22, a children’s choir singing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”…

Overall, I thought James Franco and Anne Hathaway did a great job! What did you think?
