Are You “Fat, Sick, & Nearly Dead”?

fat-sick-nearly-dead-joe-cross-documentaryWe’ve all seen shows like “The Biggest Loser” and “I Used To Be Fat” airing more and more these days. Is it because American has gotten bigger or that we are just ready to now do something about it?

One documentary tackles weight loss and sickness in a heart-warming way. “Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead” follows Joe Cross, an Australian who comes to America to lose weight by drinking only green juice for 60 days and help get rid of all that ails him. He discovers another man who has the same uncommon autoimmune disease as he does and goes on a journey to help him lose weight also.

This documentary has won three independent film awards. I don’t know about you, but I am dying to see this! It looks funny, heart-warming, and eye-opening.

  2. dad is dietebic and alot of fruits have alot of sugar. Do you start the diet with only veg?

    Though most fruits do contain a lot of sugars, they are quite safe for a diabetic. Naturally occurring sugars do not behave in the body the way that the sugars in sodas and processed foods do. As those items are absolutely the cause of type II diabetes, replacing the processed sugars with natural sugars is a perfect first step to eliminating the diabetes altogether.
    There are about 10 grams of sugar in one apple while there are 39 grams of processed sugar (high-fructose corn syrup [synthesized with such corrosives as sulfuric acid], in the domesticly bottled product) in a single can of coca cola.
    Even if you replaced the can of coke with 4 apples to equal the sugar content, don’t you think that eating four apples is better for your dad than drinking a can of coke would be?
    Diabetes is not only preventable, but reversable without any meds. Doctors and their crooked studies may tell you that cow insulin is the only way to mitigate the condition but that is only because they aren’t farmers and they don’t make any money off of the real cure, which is a more whole, raw diet.
