Lido Gallery (33535 Woodward Ave.) announces its grand opening celebration on Friday, October 8 at 7 p.m. The evening will feature scrumptious fare, merriment and mingling. Then, on Tuesday, October 12, the gallery, owned by Diane Decillis, will host a ceremonial ribbon cutting at 4 p.m. Â Birmingham Mayor Rackeline Hoff will be in attendance.
Decillis, who has 31 years experience in the art world and previously owned The Print Gallery in Southfield, chose the Birmingham space that formerly housed the Gramophone for her new endeavor. In addition to custom framing, creative gift items and handcrafted jewelry, Lido Gallery has a dedicated space for art exhibitions and poetry and fiction readings. Decillis will feature well-known artists as well as local up-and-comers.
The grand opening party and ceremonial ribbon cutting are free and open to the public. Lido Gallery l 33535 Woodward Avenue l Birmingham, MI l (248) 792-6246 l www.everythingart.com.
