I thought this should be passed on to you and your loved ones. Hope you never have to use it.
If you don’t have a gun, (who wants to have one anyway?) here’s a more humane way to stop an evil attack on you…Seriously, if someone out there intends on attacking me I’m not particularly interested in “humane” self-defense! In regards to carrying a gun: if you are going to shoot someone the rule of thumb is this: you better kill him. Yikes!
Have you heard this before? I never really thought of this for self-defense.
I guess it is far better than a baseball bat …or a nine iron! Â And a butcher knife is way too much for me!
After news that a home-invasion and beating which left an elderly woman in Toledo dead, self defense experts have a tip that could save your life.
Val Glinka teaches self-defense to students at Sylvania Southview High School .
For decades, he’s suggested putting a can of wasp and hornet spray near your door or bed.
Glinka says, “This is better than anything else I can teach them.”
Glinka considers it inexpensive, easy to find, and more effective than mace or pepper spray .
The cans typically shoot 20 to 30 feet; so if someone tries to break into your home,
Glinka says, “Spray the culprit in the eyes.” It’s a tip he’s given to students for decades.
If you’re looking for protection, use the spray, and giving you a chance to call the police; maybe get away. And maybe even save a life.
A friend who is a receptionist in a church in a high risk area was concerned about someone coming into the office on Monday to rob them when they were counting the collection. She asked the local police department about using pepper spray and they recommended to her that she get a can of wasp spray instead. The wasp spray, they told her, can shoot up to twenty feet away and is a lot more accurate; while with the pepper spray, they have to get too close to you and could overpower you. The wasp spray temporarily blinds an attacker until they get to the hospital for an antidote. She keeps a can on her desk in the office and it doesn’t attract attention from people like a can of pepper spray would. She also keeps one nearby at home for home protection.
This ladies is why we need to carry a huge purse-to house and conceal a large can of wasp spray!
Thought this was interesting and might be the BEST self-defense!
As far as I’m concerned, the lesson here is: be mindful and aware of your surroundings at all times, carry a can of wasp spray (they only come in two sizes, large and huge), if you are going to carry a gun you need  target shooting practice and perhaps, sign-up for a self-defense class!
Remember this: Being fore-warned is being fore-armed!
