Valentine’s Day…the day for roses and chocolates, love notes from your sweet and even sneaking out of the office a little early to spend some extra time with the one you love. But where does that leave your daily workout? You could skip it, but why would you do that? There is nothing more romantic then keeping a healthy commitment you made at the start of the year and sharing that commitment with your love.
You may notice that all of these songs have made it onto the playlist from the amazing decade known as the eighties. No, I don’t think you need to put fluorescent leggings on to do this workout, I just think it’s always fun when spending time with the person you are in love with to get goofy and enjoying some throwback music always does that for me. You’ll be smiling and laughing on note #1.
1.) Robert Palmer — Addicted To Love
2.) Culture Club — I’ll Tumble For Ya
3.) Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam — Head To Toe
4.) Huey Lewis & The News — Do You Believe In Love
5.) Cher — It’s In His Kiss
6.) Human League — Don’t You Want Me
7.) Michael Jackson — P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)
8.) The Cars — You Might Think
9.) The Pointer Sisters — Jump (For My Love)
10.) Belinda Carlisle — Mad About You
Then, when you are finished working your tail off and sweating through your clothes, the fun really begins. Peel off your sweaty clothes and enjoy a shower for two and take that wherever it leads you…but you need a soundtrack for that too right? So, as a bonus, here are five songs to “love to” on this Valentine’s Day.
1.) Bad English — When I See You Smile
2.) Will To Power — Baby, I Love Your Way
3.) Cheap Trick — The Flame
4.) Atlantic Star – Always
5.) Boy Meets Girl — Waiting On A Star To Fall
Enjoy your Valentine’s Day together. Don’t skip your workout, embrace the day and spend your workout together. You’ll be happy you did. You might even get competitive with each other and help turn each others workout up.
