Take A Grocery Store Tour With Our Dietitian

What’s really in your grocery cart?

Nutritionist Gail Posner, www.GailPosner.com, provides entertaining and educational tours of the grocery store.  One of Gail’s clients described the tour as “It’s like hiring a tour guide on a vacation when visiting a new city or museum.  I learned so much more about the foods I eat every day.”  Gail makes many stops throughout the store and describes what we should look for in healthy foods, and what to avoid.  A favorite stop is the frozen dessert section.  Gail points out “sugar free” is NOT necessarily an acceptable product for many diabetics or for weight loss diets  Gail shows people what a ½ cup serving of ice cream looks like, and most of the group laugh realizing they often consume 3 servings at a sitting, and so the low calorie product they are consuming is now huge!  Gail then shows wonderful, portion control solutions for the ice cream lovers in the group.
