Grilled Green Beans with Michigan Dried Cherries

This quick and easy recipe is delicious, healthy and the ingredients are locally grown!

Ingredients:
1 pound of local green beans
2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
zest of one lemon
½ cup of Michigan dried cherries

Prepare beans by washing them, then snapping off the stems. In a bowl, combine the beans, olive oil, salt and pepper. Toss until well coated. Grill the beans for about 2-3 minutes until cooked through. Remove from grill, toss with lemon zest and dried cherries. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Note: The little bit of char the beans pick up from the grill adds a nice depth of flavor that contrasts well with the crispness of the beans and the flavor from the lemon zest!
