I Can’t Seem To Get That Flat Mid-Section! Help!

I workout 5/6 days a week! And my doctor gave me a clean bill of health. My workouts include power walking, lifting weights 3 times a week, and yoga or Pilates twice a week. I do tons of abdominal work. I still can’t see the evidence of my strong core. How much core work does a woman have to do to have a flat and fit looking mid section??? I am very frustrated!

Sounds like you really have it together in regards to your workout regimen. You have incorporated the key components; strength training, balance and flexibility, cardio-respiratory/fat burning activity, and a solid and varied core strengthening workout!

Funny though, you never mentioned DIET in your letter, not a single word! This makes me wonder if your diet is out of wack! Simply put, if you are taking in more calories than your body needs the excess will be stored as fat and it will be stored in the pantry that lives in and around your belly! Try keeping a diary/food journal for one week…not the rest of your life….ONE WEEK ONLY! You must write down every morsel of food and liquid that touches your lips….AGREED??? This will also help develop mindful eating skills! Do this for one week and email it back to me. I am certain we can figure this out!
